Reading and Language Arts

 

 

Every marking period in Reading, we will focus on both Literature and Informational Texts. We will view a variety of genres. Many time the texts we focus on will connect with our topics in Social Studies, Science or our inquiry projects.

 

During our Writing block, students will work on a Narrative, Informative and Opinion piece. Many times they will be contected to each other and to our inquiry projects every marking period. It is important to note that not ever writing piece will be taken through the entire Writing Process. We will use these pieces to learn skills and techniques to help us meet our indicators by the end of the school year.
